An Integrative Psychologist
Mona has developed a life-long interest in learning and study, staying at the forefront of developments in various therapeutic approaches. She has acquired a large range of professional qualifications which enable her to treat many difficult and highly challenging conditions. Mona combines different approaches to develop specialised therapeutic programmes in order to meet the unique needs of each individual.
This approach to professional therapy results in rapid and effective treatment for a range of disorders that affect people throughout the UK and internationally. Mona also offers sessions in Norwegian.
Experience and qualifications
Whilst studying for her degree in Psychology at City, University of London, Mona published psychological research which investigated the wellbeing of different occupational groups.
Working with children
Mona has many years of professional experience working with children with a range of complex needs and demands and has also worked with adults and children with eating disorders and other mental disorders. She has worked for the NHS in the UK and also at a psychiatric clinic in a hospital in Norway.
Multi-faceted approach to treatment
She studied clinical hypnotherapy at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the Centre for Stress Management. She has a diploma from The Centre for Psychosexual Health, together with several diplomas in addiction and depression, from Human Givens College. Mona also has a BPS-approved certificate in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). She has also studied Human Nutrition at the Open University and a Diploma in Fitness Instructing from the YMCA and is a certified practitioner of the 4Rs Therapy Model for the treatment of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) – formerly known as selective eating disorder.
